In addition, it provides us the ability to offer a search engine that hits more than just the forum messages.The positions offered on this site are those of the author responsible for them. You'll find a wide assortment in the forum, including responses from those not friendly to the Christian perspective. My own position is evangelical and nondenominational; I have theological leanings which could be perhaps described as moderately Calvinist, but I subscribe to no particular denominational perspective.
My own spiritual journey is more intellectual than emotional, though it has an emotional core as a result of my studies and the convictions which resulted. My approach to those of differing perspectives is evangelical, not fundamentalist; I welcome the challenge and diversity that is in the world. My own beliefs are not in substantial agreement with those of Catholics, for example, but we do agree on some things, and I think we can rejoice in the common ground while agreeing to disagree on the rest. Having mutual respect and the tolerance to listen to contrary positions is not compromise; it is the essence of Christian love.
